Depending on the type of debt and property you have a bankruptcy filing can give you immediate debt relief by:
Lowering your car interest, reducing debt, decreasing your monthly payments.
Keep more money in your household.
Reduce the amount you currently owe on autos, furniture, appliances and others.
Protect your auto from Title Pawn creditors.
Protect your home from foreclosure.
Stop: Garnishments and lawsuits.
Repossession.
IRS tax levies.
Phone Calls.
Chapter 13 cases can be started for as low as $76. Our attorney fees are paid in the Chapter 13 case along with your creditors. The $76 pays the upfront filing fee to the clerk. All Chapter 13 cases have a filing fee of $274 and require the $50 consumer credit briefing certificate that you will get from CCCS-Atlanta (required to file Chapter 13 or Chapter 7). Some bankruptcy attorneys require you to pay the entire $274 filing fee upfront. You are not required to pay the Chapter 13 filing fee all upfront.
Chapter 7 cases can be started for $350. We can work out a payment plan for the balance. Also, all Chapter 7 cases have a filing fee of $299 and require the $50 consumer credit briefing certificate that you will get from CCCS-Atlanta (required to file Chapter 7 or 13).

About Our Office Back to Top
Lee Legal Clinic practices personal debt relief bankruptcy law. Which means we represent people with debt problems and people that need to stop foreclosure, stop garnishment or stop repossession. Or just simply stop creditors from calling. Chapter 13 bankruptcy and Chapter 7 bankruptcy is our only practice. It is all we do. We make our living in this area of the law, and we may be able to help you with your situation. You don’t have to call us first, but at least call us before you decide what to do. If you don't need to file Chapter 13 or 7 we will tell you so, if you do need to file we will tell you why.
Lee Legal is not a large 'tread-mill' firm which runs through clients and new files day after day. We do not use satellite offices which are only open a few hours a week. We operate from one location, and we pay attention to what we do - which is to assist people when they need to file for bankruptcy relief, either Chapter 7 bankruptcy or Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We know our clients by name. We listen to them and understand their financial problems. Filing personal bankruptcy is a serious step that can help you or severely hurt you. You need to know before you file what will happen.
Mr. Lee has practiced debt relief bankruptcy law since 1979. He has been a speaker at seminars for bankruptcy attorneys and IRS employees. Mr. Lee has appeared on both television and radio. He has also been featured in local business publications and newspapers articles.
Lee Legal Clinic has represented thousands of people with debt problems over the years. And several of our new clients were referred by our old clients. We work hard to maintain a good reputation with the Bankruptcy Court and we never forget that our clients chose us, instead of someone else, to assist them with their problems.
